Planning application submitted
We are pleased to update you that the planning application for 701-709 Chester Road has now been submitted. Throughout the past year, we have worked hard to ensure this development benefits the local community and reflects the feedback given to us at our public consultations.
Having listened to feedback from residents, we have taken the decision to remove the rooftop bar from the planning application. We have also agreed to create a green amenity space with fast-growing trees to further protect residents’ privacy. This green space will be publicly accessible and provide a pleasant passage for residents.
Noting feedback regarding possible disturbance to local residents during matchday events, the internal link will be closed by staff during periods of closure of Chester Road on matchdays. The matchday closures will be monitored by staff and the link closed and re-opened to co-ordinate with the external road closures.
Taking residents’ suggestions into account, we have also changed the location of the proposed coffee shop to the corner of Chester Road and Warwick Road to reduce footfall on Hornby Road.
